The Story Behind The Stories

I am Saria, a mom of two 7-year-old boys, living in Beirut.

During these six years, so much has happened to our dear country that has had grave repercussions on all Lebanese children.

Families were forced to leave the country due to a devastating economic crisis, hundreds of homes were destroyed and lives were lost by the Beirut blast. Pessimism prevails due to the ongoing negative news.

With all this happening, I became truly concerned that my children would grow up not being proud of their roots, or not knowing the happiness that comes from having a safe place to call home and come back to.
